Why Bose product activation failed? ›

This message appears if your product is unable to connect to the Internet or to your Bose Music account. Try these suggestions to resolve the issue. If the Bose app is not the latest version, it might be missing features or improvements.

Check for sources of wireless interference.

To determine if a device might be interfering, try unplugging its power cord or disabling Wi-Fi on the device. If the issue is resolved when a particular device is removed, try placing that device farther away from your product, if possible.

For Android devices, go to Wi-Fi settings and select the Bose wireless network. If your device does not automatically switch to the internal setup network of your Bose product, go to the device Wi-Fi settings and tap the Bose network name to connect to it.

Double-check that you're signed in with the correct Microsoft account associated with your Office subscription or product key. An incorrect account might result in activation failure. Access the account settings within the Office app (by going to File > Account) and verify that you're using the right credentials.

Put the device being connected into pairing mode; typically done by pressing and holding its Bluetooth button (or power switch) for a few seconds. When the device being connected is in pairing mode, its status indicator will blink blue and, if voice prompts are enabled, you'll hear the "Ready to connect" message.

Under the Power section, select Power Sync. Turn on Enable Power Sync: To simultaneously power on/off the TV, turn on Sync TV. To simultaneously power on/off another device, turn on Sync Source, then select the device.

If the pairing is not working, it is typically because it is being performed incorrectly, or the product may need to be reset, updated, or may not be compatible with the soundbar. Soundbars will only pair to a bluetooth device that plays audio, like a TV, tablet, or phone.

Why is my Bose rejecting pairing? ›

Go to the Bluetooth settings on the device, disconnect any connected products, then try connecting your Bose product. Electronics, such as cell phones, tablets or computers, might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. This is typically done by turning the device off, then powering it on again.

Recently departed employees told the newspaper that Bose had fallen short of sales targets as new products struggled in the market, including the Frames audio glasses and SoundControl hearing aids. Competition from rivals like Apple and Sony is also believed to have hurt Bose's bottom line.

Slide the Power/Bluetooth switch to the right and hold for 3 seconds until you hear “Ready to connect” and the status light blinks blue. On your device, enable the Bluetooth feature. The Bluetooth feature is usually found in the Settings menu. Select your headphones from the device list.
